SSU’s April-June 2021

Greetings to you and all members of the Church. I trust God is protecting you and your family.

Over the months, I experienced tooth problem issue which four of my teeth were removed and replaced with other ones. Though much funds have been spent, but very soon the pains will be relieved.

I Thank the Almighty God who is always on our side to protect us and guide us inspite of the many challenges we are facing in Nigeria due to bad leadership/governance

In view of these problems, preaching of the gospel is still in progress. I am sending the report of April, may and June of 2021.

–      Between the month of April 7th and May 1st two events were organized at Northside Church of Christ Ukpom, the events which featured general gospel meetings – April 7th and Preachers Evangelism on May 1st . The two events were very successful. New WBS Students were enrolled during these occasion.

–      One soul was added to the new Church planted at Ikot Eyem in Obot Akara during our visit on April 11th, 2021

–      Women Gospel meeting took place at Atai Otoro on 17th April 2021. There were two restorations and one baptism in the area.

–      There was a WBS Seminar/Evangelism out reach event at Ikot Obio Mkpong on 18th April, 2021.

–      Evangelism at Ikot Oku Mfang, Otoro, Abak recorded one baptism.

–      WBS Seminar and house to house evangelism took place at Ikot Obioko on 9th May, 2021. We studied the bible with many people in their respective homes and enrolled new students into the WBS Programme.

–      General Gospel meeting at Abiaokpo, Otoro on 22nd May 2021 was a successful one.

–      Evangelism at Ikot Ekpeyak, brought the total of Seven Souls to the Lord’s Church during the quarter.

–      There was Preachers/Leadership Seminar at the NCBC on 25th – 28th May, 2021. Although bad road situation, it was very successful.

–      Ikot Nsong, Etinan, recorded two baptisms during Preachers Evangelism in the Area.

–      WBS Seminar/Evangelism Ikot Obioko was a successful one.

–      Youth Seminar at Ikot Ekan In Etinan Local Government Area also brought one soul to the Lord.

–      At Ukana Mkpa Eyop, four WBS Students converted in the area.

–      Ikot Odongo in Uruan Local Government Area recorded two baptisms

–      WBS Seminar/Evangelism at Ikot Odung, Ikono was a successful one as many new students were enrolled to study the Bible with us through WBS Teaching.

–      At Oku Abak, two souls were added to the Lord.

–      Atan Offot witnessed one baptism on 26th June, 2021 during evangelism outreach in the area.

–      Finally, the one day WBS Gospel Seminar and Evangelism at Anua Obio 27, June 2021 brought four souls to the Lord. Many new students were also registered during Evangelism outing.

We plan to conduct WBS Seminars/Evangelism in many other areas in Akwa Ibom State.

She lives in the remote part of Atai Otoro, in Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

April Report

Let me keep you abreast with the evangelism work on the month of April in Akwa Ibom State. One soul was added to the new church planted at Ikot Enyem in Obot Akara during our visit to the area with M. J. Akpakpan and Anameti Akpan on April 11, 2021. On that day, the new church had thirty people in attendance with visiting members.

        WBS Seminar of Ikot Obio Mkpong in Uyo LGA was very successful as many new students were enrolled during evangelism outing.

        Evangelism at Ikot Edung, Ikono L.G.A attracted many attendance and registration of WBS Students. Many requested for bibles and song books. The attached are pictures and baptism.

        Evangelism will also take place in the following areas in the last two months of this quarter: Ikot Odung, Ikono L.G.A, Northside Church of Christ Ukpom, Anua Obio, Uyo, etc.

Sunday Solomon Udoh’s January-March 2021 Report

Greetings from my family.

I wish you the best in the Lord’s vineyard as we are partnering together in the spread of the gospel.

The 1st quarter of the year 2021, which is ending today has witnessed tremendous growth and success in the Lord’s kingdom due to WBS activities.

This is the summary of my report during the quarter:

·        Ikot Abasi Local Government: Six souls were baptized in the area during the 1st Sunday of January, 2021

·        Atai Otoro Abak: between 24th January and 7th February 2021, a total of two souls were baptized at Atai Otoro.

·        Another round of evangelism took place at Ikot Obiofuk in Atai Otoro on 14 February, 2021, there was no baptism. Many people were interested to study the Bible with the WBS.

·        A WBS student was baptized at Ukpom during the quarter after some period of Bible teaching.

·        Ikot Akpabio in Afahaobong also had one soul during the period.

·        In a bit to start a congregation at Obio Ndot in Abak, tremendous efforts are on the making. The 3rd week of February witnessed a large number of people in the area for house to house preaching and Open Air Service.

·        Abak Preachers/Leadership workshop: Took place at Ukpom during the period.

·        WBS Seminar/Evangelism, Ika L.G.A./Manta Edem Idim and Ikot Akwa Ebom, Abak, were well attended during the quarter. Bibles and other reading materials were given to some of the students.

·        Ikot Ekpeyak witnessed the conversion of four souls in the area during the quarter.

·        A Church was planted at Nto Oyom in Obot Akara L.G.A. during the weekend of 21st and 22nd March of 2021 with one soul added to the Lord during the occasion.

·        The three day evangelism at Ikot Edung in Uruan L.G.A brought ten souls to the Lord. Some pictures of events and baptisms are attached.

SSU Evangelism Update

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

        I am very pleased to inform you of the baptisms of January 2021. The attached are some of the pictures.

        WBS Seminars and Evangelism will take place in the following areas in the subsequent months of the first quarter of 2021: Ikot Akwa Ebom, Ediene, Ukana Mkpa Eyop and Adiasim Ikot Ekon in Essien Udim L.G.A.

        I am in need for a motorcycle to help me in evangelism in the rural areas. The one I am using now is consuming much money because it is very old now.

Sunday Solomon Udoh’s Report

 Greetings from my family and my fellow preachers in the Lord’s Vineyard. The year 2020 is about ending today. Thank you very much for sacrificing your resources to help me in the spread of the Gospel, especially in this trying period of Covid-19. May God’s name be praised! My Late brother – Ekpuk Solomon who died on Mid-November was finally buried on 26th December, 2020.

        I am forwarding the Reports of October, November and December, 2020 to you:

  • Evangelism Outreach in Atai Otoro has brought three souls for Christ during the quarter. One of them was baptized on early October, while the two were baptized on November.
  • Two souls were baptized on 4th October, after WBS Seminar at Edem Idim, Manta Abak.
  • A total of four souls were baptized during and after WBS Seminar/Evangelism Outreach at Ikot Oku Mfang.
  • WBS Awareness Campaign at Utu-Abak on 10th October witnessed many participants. Many of them were enrolled in the WBS Teaching Programme.
  • Men Bible Workshop took place at Ediene Ikot Akwa Ebom, Abak on 17th October, 2020.
  • After WBS Seminar at Ikot Ekpeyak on 25th October, two souls were baptized in the area.
  • Two WBS Students were baptized at the African Christian Secondary School (ACSS) Abak Usung Atiat during the quarter.
  • WBS Seminar and Evangelism Outreach was scheduled at Ikot Ekong in Mkpat Enin L.G.A on 29th November. The event witness both inside and outside activities.
  • Similar event took place at Ikot Obio Mkpong, Uyo L.G.A, on 6th December, 2020. Many people in the area indicated interest to study the Bible through WBS Teaching.
  • The three day Lectureship at Ukpom which came up on 9th to 11th December had a total harvest of fourteen souls added to the Church.
  • Sunday School Children activities at Atai Otoro on 20th December witnessed a lot of events on that day. Some of the activities were: Bible Quiz, Song Rendition by the Youths, Bible Recitation etc. Bibles, Song books, and other prizes were given to the winners.
  • Youth Bible Seminar came on Board on 29th December, 2020 with many youths and preachers in attendance.

Although we are witnessing the second wave of Covid-19 in Nigeria, with the controlling measures, being put in place by the government to avoid its spread; WBS Seminars, Evangelism, Workshops, Lectureships and Gospel Meetings will come in many areas in the next quarter of 2021.

Baptism of WBS Student

Greetings in the Lord.

The attached are the pictures of your WBS Student – Edidiong Christopher Okon. He studied the Bible over the years through World Bible School Teaching. He was baptized on Tuesday 1st December, 2020

Last week, we had WBS/Evangelism at Ikot Ekang in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area. We had a successful trip, although we did not have any baptism on that day, but we have evangelized the area.

This weekend, Ikot Obio Mkpong in Ikono will have their turn.

Lectureship at NCBC is coming up next week 9th-11th December, 2020.

The burial of my late brother- Ekpuk Solomon Udoh is coming up in two weeks time.

May you continue to pray for me in this moment of grief and to run through the burial successfully.

WBS Seminar Successful

I am very pleased to report that the WBS seminar/evangelism held on 22nd Nov., at Ikot Oku Mfang, Otoro in Abak L.G.A. brought two souls to the Lord.

This week, similar event will take place at Ikot Ekong in Mkpat Enin L.G.A. on 29-11-2020.

Please Sir, The motorcycle which I have been used for evangelism in the local areas over years is not functioning effectively. Right now it is in the workshop for repairs. I therefore appeal for some funds in order to purchase a new one.

April-June 2020

Greetings in the Lord

I trust God is always with us, even in this trying period. I pray may his steadfast love and protection continue to be with us and keep us safe from the global issue of the recent time, as we are thriving to preach the gospel.

As the lord has commanded us to preach the gospel in season and out of season, the present situation in Nigeria, and the world over  could not prevent the spread of the gospel. Although all events and activities were postponed due to the lockdown, we are doing our best to reach out to people around our immediate environments and  beyond, as the lockdown order is gradually relaxed.

I am sending the report of April, May and June 2020.

–  Atai Otoro witnessed the conversion of two souls during the quarter.

–  There were two baptisms at Nto Ide and Nto Assiak In Obot Akara – 17 May, 2020.

–  Edem Idim Manta, Abak witnessed a total of four souls during the quarter.

–  Two souls were baptized at Abak Itenge, Abak. Before their conversion, they were members of Apostolic Healing Church.

–  One soul baptized at Water side in Ikot Ubo in Oruk Anam L.G.A.

–  Five souls baptized at Ikot Ekpeyak, Ikono in Uyo Local Government Area.
