MISSIONS REPORT MAY-JUNE 4, 2023- 21 BAPTISMS AND 4 SEMINARS

I bring you warmest greetings and appreciations to you my beloved supporters for helping me to spread the Gospel of Christ in Nigeria. May God continue to shower His blessings upon you all in Jesus Name-Amen. My missions for Christ has been very successful and fruitful in the month of May 2023. The World Bible School (WBS) Team met on May 25 during our monthly meetings and reported 15 baptisms from their respective area congregations.

May 7 – I spoke at WBS seminar/evangelism at Church of Christ Ikot Ayan Ikono, Uyo

May 13  – I spoke at a youth seminar at Church of Christ Mbiabong Ikono, Uyo. My topic was “The Youths and their Influence in the Society.”  There were many questions and the Bible solved all their problems.

May 20 – I spoke at an annual Youth Forum at Church of Christ, Ikot Ekan Etinan.   It had a large crowd of youth and two baptisms were recorded.

May 21 – I spoke at a WBS seminar, Itiam Ikot Ebia, Uyo, where we had two hours of personal evangelism, WBS enrollments, and one soul was baptized.

May 23-26 – I helped to arrange and spoke at the Nigerian Christian Bible College (NCBC) 69th Annual Ministers and Church Leaders Seminar. The theme was “Bracing the Pulpit in the Contemporary Times.”  I spoke on adopting mentorship Model in Ministry. This four-day program attracted about 200 ministers and church leaders from four states in the Federation: Akwa Ibom, Abia, Cross River and Imo State. Etini Umanah, a fellow worker for Christ, reported two baptisms in a young congregation – Church of Christ, Eka Abiakpo, Abak.

June 2 – I baptized Wisdom Ndoho, a WBS student of the Perry Church of Christ in Ohio, USA.

June 4 – Edu Okorie and his family visited the Church of Christ, Ikot Akpabio and encouraged the brethren.

I will be attending WBS Great Workshop arranged by Chad Wagner for all WBS follow-up workers, July 23-26 at Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

Thanks sirs for your love for me and missionary work in Nigeria. May God bless you all.

Anameti Akpan’s Work Blessed To Help Widows!

Dearly Beloved,

May God continue to bless all in Jesus Name Amen.

May 1st, I was able to visit Obot Akara so as to see those widows and also visit the farm in which they do cultivate cassava, maize.

The following items were presented to them

  1. Two bags of rice
  2. Those dresses, bags, slippers and necklace (4) sent by women
  3. Money.

The 8 of them were very grateful for those items received; even more so, they were praying for those women who had contributed for the growth of that program (widow’s farm) and they had promised to remain faithful to the Lord.

Here are the pictures below:

  1. Presenting 2 bags of rice to the widows
  2. Widow’s farm
  3. Widows wearing those new dresses
  4. The women sharing those food items
  5. Standing with the women in the farm
  6. The widows standing in the farmland.

Finally, may God bless you all in Jesus name.

Anameti Akpan.

Herbert Nwankwo Chukwu’s Q3 2022 Report

The year 2022 has ended and we thank God for His promises to us. Just as he promised to give us John 10:9-10, we thank Him for life and strength to do his work as we continue to thank all the saints for your fellowship with us in the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this part of the world until now.

This is 2022’s last quarter work report. We were able to visit and work with eight (8) of our congregations, held several youth Bible classes, and distributed numerous Holy Bibles and study books. This included the Voice of Truth, and some study literature from Gospel Gazette. God blessed these works with some of our youths who have backslid but returned to joined in the Bible class and promised not to turn back again. Furthermore, seven (7) people were newly baptised from the Ihe Town congregation, Olepe congregation in Ette Town and Effech Town congregation.

The great interest shown by youth to study the Bible with the visiting Evangelist resulted in the plan to hold an one day Seminar in Enugu Urban to study the importance of Christian Education in Development of the church. The date of the Seminar is January 28th, 2023. Help us pray for this work as we aim to motivate the youths in Bible learning to enable them to live according to the Word of God and join in teaching others.

Thanks for your support that has enabled us to do these works.

Your brother,

Herbert Nwankwo Chukwu
