Mid Term Break

Our children are on their midterm break and are doing well.

The little boy who was admitted in the hospital for a serious operation is getting better. God has answered our prayers. We were assisted to offset his bill of #700,000 with a remaining balance of #125,000.  Purchase of his drugs, as he is placed on special diet, is another commitment and must be provided according to the doctor’s prescription. 

A handicapped child of 5 years old was abandoned in Assembly of God’s Church.  He was brought to us by the Police, but we didn’t accept as there is no facility and trained staff to handle such a case.

SEVEN ELDERLY WOMEN AND 3 AGED MEN IN THE COMMUNITY

We do visit them weekly with food and a little cash.  They were also given routine drugs which the doctor advised. 

This time around it has not been easy for us to effectively do our work due to super inflation and the high cost of fuel to reach those who are afar off. But we have to do as we can.

FARMING

The Caregivers are relatively engaged in cassava farming activities within our premises.

Things are becoming too hard in Nigeria which has affected the Home negatively.  We eat rice sparingly.  Bread is beyond our reach which was our common food. 

NEEDS

Rice

Garri (our stable food)

Cassava processing machines to enable us to process our cassava.
