MISSIONS UPDATES OCTOBER TO NOVEMBER 2ND, 2023-25 BAPTISMS, 3 WBS SEMINARS, 1 MEN FELLOWSHIP AND 1 LADIES GOSPEL MEETING
I will continue to give God the glory for the fruitful results of the Lord’s work here in my area-Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria.
I am very thankful to you my supporters for providing regular financial support and prayers which has helped me immensely to preach the Gospel to lost souls and edify the body of Christ. The World Bible School (WBS) Abak Team met on 26th October at the Nigerian Christian Bible College (NCBC) WBS office and reported of 15 baptisms.
BAPTISM OF WBS STUDENTS: In the month of October, I was able to baptize three WBS students. Oct 1, 2023, I baptized Ekpeno Friday Akpan student of Wayne Duren of East Pointe Church of Christ (COC) in Alabama. October 19, I baptized Ediomi Etukudo, student of Clifton Parker of the Cottondale Church of Christ and Enobong Blesssed Udeme student of Dona Goulding of the Perry Church of Christ.
On 24th September, we conducted a WBS seminar at COC Urua Isiip Ibiakpan, a young congregation where we had one baptism.
At church of Christ, Ikot Akpabio, where I am preaching regularly, I baptized three souls this month: one soul on October 1 and 2 souls on October 22.
On 15th October, I was invited by the Church of Christ, Afaha Odon Ukanafun to preach during the morning worship service and the same day, in the afternoon, I spoke at a youth zonal fellowship at Ikot Okoro, Oruk Anam. My topic was “Looking Beyond Limitations.” It had a large crowd of youth from twenty congregations. October 22, I spoke at the Mens’ Fellowship at Church of Christ Ibesit Ekoi, Oruk Anam.
The Ladies’ Gospel Meeting was also held at Church of Christ No. I Ukpom, the same day where my wife Victoria led in songs.
October 21-23, I took some NCBC students for a weekend evangelism to Churches of Christ in Ukpom and Ikot Oku Mfang, Abak. They baptized two souls at North Side Church of Christ Ikot Akpan Adia, Ukpom on 22nd October.
On October 29, I took a one month leave from the Church of Christ Ikot Akpabio. During this period, I will visit some congregations that requested for my visits.
November 3, I will preach at Church of Christ Ibuo Nung Achat, Etim Ekpo with Fiokedu Okorie.
November 10, I will preach at Central Church of Christ Ukpom (my home congregation).
November 17, I will preach at Church of Christ Nung Oku Ubo, Oruk Anam.
November 22-24, I will travel to Ogoja, Northern Cross River State, where I am expected to speak in their annual lectureship.
My dear supporters, please I need your assistance to buy a new car for my work and personal use by next year. My old car is not good and has gone through many repairs. Please help me. Thank you for your support to achieve this purpose early next year. Please continue to pray for my mother who is having some health challenges.
Considering this difficult time in Nigeria, I am requesting for special, extra funds during this last quarter support. Prices of things have tripled. Petrol is very costly and life is unbearable. Secondly the hospital bill of my sick mother at Mercy Hospital is high. Any assistance will be highly appreciated about $300.
